It's not a cure; it reduces the symptoms. I've been stuttering for 44 years. The cause of my stutter was due to a traumatic dog attack. Ive had 20 years of speech therapy coupled with hypnosis and I've tried other medications, traditional treatments, and even voodoo. At this stage in my life, I focus on living and not my stutter. When I don't focus on my stutter, it tends to disappear. If I do have a block, I just stop, breathe and continue on. If this is the route that you want to take, then by all means go for it. As for me, I'm done with that part of my life. My daily routine consists of mindful meditation, diaphragmatic breathing and reading out loud every day.
