I appreciate your effort. However, if my boss said something to me about my stutter on my first day, I’d want to crawl into a hole. One time I was presenting a training class, I stuttered, someone (“C”) asked me a question and stuttered as they did it ( person had no history of stuttering), it upset me for 10 seconds then I moved on. Someone in the class reported the gal to HR. My boss told me that C would be reprimanded. I begged her not to say anything. She said it was out of her control. FF a week later and C runs up to me in the office and confronts me. I just wanted to get out of the conversation. Open floor plan so everyone was watching. A friend thought I was going to punch C. TLDR: good intentions may make things worse.
