Content

There is something incredibly powerful about how my mindset effected and effects my stutter. When I feel content, not pressured, happy and maybe relaxed, I just feel like I won't stutter. The tension just isn't there. But when I feel that little pressure and forget I can be chill and take it easy, I feel the block before it comes out. When I'm relaxed and I randomly trip up I'm in this state where it lets go as randomly and easily as it came. But if I start worrying about what others think it tenses up and drags on, including to the other words and sentences to come until I hit a reset finally and it lets go. My mindset helps me allow that reset to happen much sooner rather than dragging on that block/baggage along the way but I have to be in a content state and remind myself that it's cool, let it go, ease up. I think this is why they have breathing techniques, I think it's more to calm you and put you in a better state of mind, whether breathing helps or not, you can do it yourself over time with practice.
