This is probably not helpful, but this is why I'm glad I'm homeschooled. I haven't had great experiences in any settings similar to a public school environment (extracurricular activities, coops, etc), at least. My granddad, whose stutter is very similar to mine, had such bad experiences in public school that he decided he was not going to send his kids. My dad had such a good experience being homeschooled that he decided to homeschool his kids too. Hearing some of my granddad's stories makes me very thankful to not have to go through that.
