Thank you, this is generally what the majority of stutterers always tell me as well. I am 31 and I have only met 2 people in jobs that stutter. I met no one in grade school and college who stuttered which always made me sad. Ever since I was a teenager the 1% number has bothered me. Here's another comparision. Only around 0.33 percent of the US has multiple sclerosis. I have met multiple people with that disease, sadly including myself. I developed in 4 years ago but I am trying to challenge it. Anyways, their subreddit has close to 3 times (66k) as many followers as the r/stuttering (23k) subreddit. This is true for every disability you look up and compare on reddit to our subreddit.
