I started stuttering around age 5 and stuttered at home and at school. I got a lot better around age 14 after doing the McGuire program but it wasn’t until I was 18 and started doing debating that I was “cured”. I’m 23 now and speak quite eloquently most of the time with friends/partner/work/University, but when I’m with my family I still stutter. I did grow up with a father with ptsd and ocd who was very strict so I think that may have something to do with it.
