I started stuttering at 3 years old. Stuttering wasn't understood well back then, so nothing was done for me. My daughter started at the same age. Doctors will tell you most kids will outgrow it, and your child may as well. Language is a process for the brain. I agreed with my husband and gave it 6 months. There is early intervention speech therapy that can be done. It was amazing for my daughter. No regrets. She's so articulate. Does she have disfluency here and there? Yes. Can she work through it? Like a champ. I would suggest considering it if you can afford it and your daughter isn't outgrowing it in that time frame.
