i don't speak i read. i had a very bad stutter as a child until my early teens. then one of my teachers pointed out that i didn't stutter when i read. so i started visualizing words, and i'm not speaking, i'm reading. it took a lot of practice, and i still stutter sometimes when i get excited, but that revelation was literally lifechanging. i hope it can help someone else.
