Nope nope nope they are wrong. I am a college advisor and I recently advised a student with a very severe stutter (along with a variety of spectrum disorder related disabilities). He just graduated with the top academic award in our department and landed an awesome job on a political campaign, where basically all he does is verbally communicate all day long. His strategy? When he meets new people he says “I’m Bill. I speak with a stutter. Let’s talk about ___ project.”
