Hey I’m an slp. The professor who taught my fluency class in grad school had a significant stutter but he is also an incredibly successful slp in the realm of fluency intervention. As a person who does not stutter, I think that you will have a unique insight with your students/client because you know what it is to have a stutter and a stuttering disorder. I can’t relate to my clients but only sympathize. You will be able to do both.
