Yes, I was an active member of Toastmasters for about 6 years. I earned the highest distinction in Toastmasters that you can, as a stutterer in a chapter full of fluent speakers. It did a world of good for my courage and confidence. Not only does it strengthen public speaking skills but you’ll also have many leadership opportunities which transfer over to other areas of life. Go for it - you have nothing to lose.
