Bilinguals/multilinguals/polyglots? Anyone can join on this conversation. Just making that clear. Hi, I'm a polyglot/linguist. I study languages in my free time quite a lot. I'm a native speaker of 2 languages albeit my primary is English and my non primary native was very basic I guess you could say. Both of my native languages have improved in terms of vocabulary and my confidence has gone up. I know a third pretty well and am studying 2 more at the moment but kinda graze over more languages sometimes. Any other people with a speech impediment who are like this or similar get into situations where you're in a location where there are 1 or more other minority languages but they (at work/in public) think that you don't know the language you're currently speaking very well? Happens to me soooooooo much and it frustrates me quite a bit sometimes. Doesn't even matter if it's my primary language. Gets me very upset at times.
