First date in almost 5 years. Hey everyone, just want to talk about my experience hoping it can give hope to someone else like it did to me. So yesterday, I (30M) went on a date last night, first one in nearly 5 years, and it went very well. For what I can remember, i had barely any blocks, maybe here in there but barely noticeable. Before picking my date up, i was pretty nervous but i remembered that we had great communication when we were texting, loads of things in common. Also english is my 2nd language. We talked for almost 4hrs with time flying by. Everything came very fluently for me because after a while i became very comfortable with her. We had very indepth conversations about what we liked and about our lives, but i left out the part of my stutter. Since mine is mild i think ill wait a little bit before spilling the beans, but i guess im willing to hear some suggestions on this. Happy to report that we have plans for another date! All this to say that for a longtime i let my stutter dictate most of my life, holding back on what life can offer. Hopefully that is all behind me now. Cheers everyone!
