I'm awear of that study which is why I said "majority of people" . I do believe that study is true but I also believe that alot of the people that think they are stutterers aren't. I guess you could put it down to social anxiety to some extent but that's kinda what the guy is saying. When I was young I was bullied for stuttering and since then I've been worrying about every word I say , wether it's in clase or to parents. The best way of explaining it is that we try too hard to speak perfectly and in doing so we pre-form our tongue which is the main reason people can't get words out as their tongue can't move fluid enough. Think of when the average person tries to speak perfectly for example public speaking or when talking to the opposite sex. And now think of when the average person stutters, it's the same.
