This happened to me (yet again) at a medical office a few weeks ago. The nurse asked me if I forgot. To her credit, a bit later, she asked me sincere questions about my stutter, wanting to learn more. After the whole interaction... yeah...I really did think she thought I forgot it. I just dont understand how anyone would think we forgot our names. I also had a mask on, so who knows!
