Light contact is another stuttering technique. It consists in saying a "blocked" sound (usually the first sound/syllable of a blocked word) using the minimum force possible. The minimum power/pressure/contact required for the syllable to sound normal. You almost always will use light contact on consonants, since vowels don't require touching anything in your mouth. When you articulate your words using normal or high pressure on your lips, tongue, and speech muscles, It worsens stuttering a lot. I recommend you to read the book I said before, "Self-Therapy for the Stutterer" by Malcolm Fraser, I learned that technique from that book. It also tells much more about overcoming stuttering.
