I've had other interviews since where I've come out and said that I clearly have a stutter and it's usually more pronounced in stressful situations like interviews. I then say I don't let it interfere with my work/communications with others and have spent X years in Speech Therapy as well as Toastmasters to improve my speech. I wouldn't change my stutter if I could. I once had an interviewer ask a lot of questions about my past stuttering and how he was so impressed and inspired. He offered me the job on the spot (I actually didn't take it for other reasons, but he felt the stutter was actually a good character trait).
