my 3-year journey in speech therapy guys, I started speech therapy when I was 18 years old and I was with the first speech therapist for 9 months but without any improvement, From there, I went to several psychologists and psychotherapists, but not even they were able to help me with anything, then I went to a speech therapist with great experience, now I've been with this speech therapist for 2 years and 7 months, but I still haven't been able to improve anything, our goal has been to think about what we have to say, take a breath, open the vocal cords, lengthen the words with vowels, and stop where we planned by lowering the voice at the end of the sentence, when we do tasks, the techniques work, but when we talk freely, they don't, it's like being in a completely different world, it’s really strange how can this happen?, I tried to find the cause and I couldn't. I also asked my speech therapist and she couldn't find it either, except that she insists on coming to therapy even though I haven’t make any improve since first day, now my stuttering has become so difficult that in some cases I have to write what I want to say to my speech therapist on the phone when we are physically together, at this time I am looking to find a job because my family can no longer pay for my therapy, I'm thinking what should i do now, should I continue the therapy or not, my speech therapist keeps telling me to come to the therapy, even though she don't know the reason why the techniques are not working in free conversations or with others people I appreciate every opinion of yours🤍
