So. There’s a lot to unpack here but I will keep it simple and say: I hear you, and also fear of public speaking has nothing to do with fluency. I have a stutter and I’m not afraid of public speaking. Our current President is not afraid of public speaking. Many actors, politicians, and activists over the course of history have had both a stutter and zero fear of public speaking. I’m not going to gatekeep someone else’s very real fears because they physical act of speech is not as difficult for them as for me or others.
