It’s not that we are scared of talking. I mean some are because the anxieties and how people react to stuttering can be taunting. But stuttering is a neurological disorder or in genetics from your family. Stuttering is by NO means caused because we are just scared. It is natural for a person who stutters, to stutter. I am a person who stutters and although some speaking situations are scary- such as presentations, phone calls, etc. but I am not scared to talk. That doesn’t make me have a stutter because I’m scared. That is ridiculous. But certain situations are more anxiety inducing that can make speaking even more challenging.
