1. You can very easily and quickly detect how good of a person someone is based on how they react to your stutter 2. It makes you more memorable (esp. in professional environments -- I'm in HS so not that I have too much experience with this but in internships and talking with college admissions officers and things I've seen that even though they see so many people and obviously can't remember all of them, they remember me probably due to my stutter)
