Good, that means a lot to me. All I can say is that I dealt with this pre the current internet. There was no info out there that was accessible about this field. Today you can just google exercises that stroke patient's use to rebuild their speech and get endless worksheets up. Its not a cure for stammering but it definitely gives you a sense of understanding and control so works better than having another layer of techniques like twitches, foot stamping, taking another run at it, changing the whole sentence structure or weird pressing certain fingers together that will work until that becomes a stammering trigger too. It's slow and cumulative, a tool not a cure and it is not the complete package around the psychological damage of this problem. I'm a lot of years in to this and I'll be honest I didn't think I was going to get out alive at one point but I am really doing just fine now and I've reached that point where I think I can stand behind what I've done as an adult stammerer and say with some confidence that this approach can help some people. Try it, but work at it long term, it's like lifting weight, It's bit by bit to be big but you are still going to get days where the tired Chinese guy behind the counter at the takeaway exasperatedly asks you if you can please just speak English.
