Yes, full time software engineer for 12 years. My stutter was severe when I was teens and younger, and I still have really bad days. The thing about this field (and probably many others) - your colleagues want a professional that wants to be a team player. I've never been treated as a burden on any of my teams. I work in an office with people from dozens of countries... So many accents, it's common to ask someone to repeat themselves. They want to know what you have to say, not how you sound. In time you'll grow more comfortable but it will take work.
