Although I’m a 31 year old women, I still totally understand you. You are not alone in this. This is a battle we are all fighting alone , yet together. This SUCKS. There’s no other way to put it. But we can’t give up. We deserve a happy life!! Have you ever thought about seeing a speech therapist ? I just started. We just talk about my speech anxiety and how I feel.. how much this sucks. And it makes me feel so much less alone. I came on here for the first time last week and had a realization that I cannot give up and googled speech therapists in my area. Because of this thread!! I always said “no one understands me” and felt totally alone and lost in this disability. Ever since coming onto this Reddit thread, I feel a sense of hope. A sense of community. I cried so much when people said they understood me - that they couldn’t say their names either. Having community and someone to talk to about this that is going through it too is so important. Please feel free to reach out and message me if you’d like to talk more!
