Easiest way that has worked for me is to treat each speaking engagement as a practice run to desensitize yourself from being embarrassed of your stutter. With this mindset, when speaking, you show your stutter, and not hide it. This causes the tightness and discomfort to graduallly reduce over time. The problem with trying to hide your stutter and appear fluent is that it’s incredibly frustrating when you do stutter, which causes embarrassment and rinse and repeat until it becomes full blown panic attack
