When you whisper, your vocal folds don’t vibrate — you produce airflow and shape it with your tongue and mouth, but not with your vocal cords. This reduces the normal auditory feedback your brain gets from your own voice. Whispering dampens that loop, so your brain isn’t constantly “checking” or over-correcting your speech, resulting in blocks and repetitions.
