We’re masters of vocabulary because we have to substitute so often. It makes us very creative writers and when we do speak we appear very intelligent. It's one of the only perks of being a stutterer. We also appear to be listening more often because we avoid speaking. It reinforces the old adage ‘We were given two ears and only one mouth so we would listen twice as much as we speak’, just another perk of being a stutterer. We appear intelligent because we listen more than we speak. Just remember how effective we are at writing.
