Not really. It held me back in high school/college but after that I took speaking-heavy jobs when I wanted them. Ultimately I realized I wanted to be a legal aid lawyer and I am now doing it. Oral exams in school were always painful, but actual court is routine enough that, like the pilots in this thread, you get used to it. The judges get used to you too.
