It’s either you let stuttering define you, or you just view it as an obstacle that you simply have to maneuver through, but you don’t let it stop you from moving forward. I used to think I could never be in a management position because I wouldn’t be able to properly communicate with people, thus no one would take me seriously and/or would view me as a poor representation of the company I work for. Turns out, no one cares that much, and they really don’t see me the same way I was viewing myself about my stutter. I still say what needs to be said and it’s still reciprocated by the other person. I still lead a group of people and still accomplish the tasks at hand, and not once has anyone complained or thought I can’t do the job simply because of a stutter. Just go for it, put yourself out there. If anyone actually judges you based on you stuttering, that’s their problem. And if someone complained about just you stuttering when translating someone’s sign language, they’d look like the biggest piece of shit in the world lol. Don’t let it get you down!
