I don't believe that our stutters came from God. He is the Giver of all good gifts (James 1:17). But we live in a fallen, sinful and messed up world with messed up genes, etc. God is a God of love, so He has to give free will, otherwise He would not be loving if He forced Himself and His will on everybody without giving a choice. Because of man's choice, sin entered the world and has messed up so many things in the process. I am struggling a lot with my stutter lately, and it has gotten a lot worse as I've gotten older. However, I know that God did not give this to me. He does however give me strength in the midst of it. His love, His presence, and his promise of eternal life with Him by believing in His Son Jesus as the Savior from my sins is such a comfort and hope to me.
