Try keeping your tongue relaxed (preferably be generally relaxed) and keep your jaw dropped - do these two things for the entire course of speaking anything, even during the production of any sound, including those that require you to open your mouth wide as in the beginning of “apple”. And remember to breathe consistently and naturally! Try it out and let me know if it helps.
