prolongation + filler words most of my life I had problems with blocks. even now, blocks always occur when I speak. but since about a year, prolongations got more and more - although before that it was like my least spoken ""symptom"" I researched and saw that there isn't much information online - the only thing I could really find was a prolongation METHOD for blocks to kinda soften them. M's are the worst for me to speak, followed by N's but honestly all of the typical letters you can prolong are part of my problem. soo, does any one knows how to handle them? I want to have more control over them like I now slowly get with my blocks + for me to break out off a coming block, I always said "so" (in German with a more softer s) but now it also got part of my normal stuttering.. well, didn't intend that :D fun fact: I have two presentations today! one in english (a roleplay) in about 20 minutes and later one group presentation in biology. my stomach hurts lol and maybe I can prevent my body to react harshly on my stutter and instead let it out because I can't change it anyway edit 1: the english roleplay was worse than expected. WAY WORSE. my blocks weren't severe but I prolonged every single word possible. they were long and annoying and I'm just very upset. I don't know how the biology presentation will go now that my mood is crashed to the way bottom edit 2: my russian teacher loves to use a randomizer for the decision who needs to read out loud or solve the task. a minute ago I had to do it and again - prolongations over prolongations. I'm frustrated. after this class, I have biology with our group presentation edit 3 (last one): we did our biology presentation. the thing is that I blocked wayy more than having problems with prolongations. I also used many filler words, especially "eh" before words with vowels at the beginning. it was bad but I'm glad it's over. in my 11 years of going to school, this school day is probably in my top 3 worst ones
