I really relate to having issues with eye contact. When i walk around my job through people i don't really know i NEVER make eye contact with them, i just stare into the floor or something because I hope it makes them less likely to engage with me in a conversation. In 20 years old as well and i don't exactly have it easy with social life I wouldn't describe my stutter as very severe, but it's definitely some variant of severe as it gets real bad when i talk to people i don't know. When talking to strangers, stuttering 3-4 times each sentence is very normal, and throughout all this i avoid eye contact. However when talking to familiars like my close friends and family, i speak almost fluently with the rare severe block
