Yes, it's all in the genetic luck of the draw. I stutter, my father stuttered, my mother-in-law stuttered, yet neither of our children nor our 5 grandsons stutter. It seems unfair but perhaps you have avoided the genes for other disabling conditions such as Huntingtons or Cavernous Malformations, or Acoustic Neuromas. We have to accept what we can't change about our genetics but work like crazy to maximize our lives by doing everything to treat our conditions.
