Huh, to me it seems that the *positive* posts are more downvoted and made fun of, while the negative posts are celebrated. But anyway, no point in arguing over that…. I’m sure we are both noticing the side that is more irritating and therefore getting a totally different perspective. I can’t make much sense of your last paragraph, because what you’re describing as being ridiculous is *exactly what happened to me.* I’ve made posts about it here. Acceptance of stuttering *actually does reduce stuttering.* I have a severe stutter… it used to be like extra-severe. Now it is severe at times and moderate at times. (And I am damned grateful for that!!) It made a noticeably huge improvement when I changed my attitude. It wasn’t *easy* to change my attitude… it took many years of hard work to get there. I’ve made posts about stuttering positivity here in the hopes that it would help some people… I never said “this is guaranteed to help every single person here.” It’s a given that any treatment or approach will only apply to *some* people. Of course not everyone will agree with me… and yet I can only share my own opinion and experience. Also no one is saying it’s a cure, as far as I know.
