That's my main issue - the speech blocks. Mine tend to happen on specific sounds, one of which is what my name starts with so I can totally relate. It used to be super frustrating and I think the anxiety that accompanied it made it worse. Stuttering has been an issue of mine my whole life, I did speech therapy as a kid and there's a technique I learned that can help if you are mid sentence. I can usually feel a stutter/speech block coming a few seconds before I am about to say the word, so what my speech therapist had me practice was to slur the end of the previous word with the beginning of the word that I was about to stutter on, kind of like I was drunk - it has something to do with eliminating the breathing and pausing before a word I was going to stutter on. With practice you can make the slur barely noticeable. It definitely has helped me. As for stuttering on your name, since most of the time that's the first word out of your mouth when people ask, my best advice is to really master the art of not giving a fuck. Like you don't owe it to anyone to not stutter, you don't owe anyone an explanation for why you can't get the word out, and you don't need to apologize if they get frustrated. This part is a littler harder than the first technique, but its really a mental practice that just makes you more comfortable in your own skin.
