Yeah I got you. I’m just making sure you do everything you can to make it easier you know? The less you have to worry about the less anxious you’ll be. I was telling my teachers, “ look I’m getting bad grades because you always call people to read out loud. So when someone’s reading I’m looking ahead to the next paragraph and practicing in my head, seeing if there are any potential slip up words” But yeah man, just think of how far people go these days to help people. Handicap ramps everywhere for wheelchairs, those yellow pads with bumps for blind people, gender neutral bathrooms for people, etc... People want to make it easier for us. If we try and hide our problem they won’t know we have it or won’t think it’s a big deal. Social media would literally LOVE to make a movement if we posted a video of someone making fun of us while stuttering. They would shame that person like crazy. Not saying this is the route we should take, but we definitely have more supporters nowadays than ever before. Next time someone laughs, just say would you make fun of a handicap person for trying to walk? Than don’t make fun of me for trying to talk.
