I’m (and you are) lucky to be prescribed Abilify. It takes an educated provider who truly cares about you. My experience has been totally positive. I became totally fluent 5 years ago at age 70! Side-effect was only a kind of restless legs and the Abilify was discontinued 3 years ago and I still am fluent, though I recently noticed a VERY minor block occasionally when speaking Spanish, not my native language. Because I'm so accustomed to TOTAL fluency in English I attributed the minor block to the very slow, but extra, anxiety at having to translate from English into Spanish. I have started Abilify again and it's only been 8 days at half dose for another week. (I’m tapering off Zoloft) There hasn't been any change in Spanish yet, though I don't have the opportunity to speak Spanish daily when my cleaners come 2X month. I'd love to I'm( direct message) because we're not supposed to post openly on this Reddit about medication or dosage. If you'd be interested, let me know. Best of luck, Sue, age 76, from Utah, USA
