There aren't any tips to be had to not stutter. You're going to stutter during these presentations. No way around it. 1. Introduce yourself "Hi, My name is Revolutionary" 2. Declare your stutter. "I have a stutter. As painful as it's going to be for you to listen to this presentation, it's much harder for me. Thanks for your kindness." 3. Make your presentation. You might lessen your stutter if you stop dreading the presentation. Accept that you have to do it. Stop putting negative thoughts and energy into it. Feed it positivity. When you catch yourself being negative, you have to stop that line of thinking. Know that the negativity will just fester and swell during your presentation. I do have a few tips about presenting... Own the room. Don't stand woodenly at a podium. Use the space. You see professors walk all over the space. No reason why your feet have to be nailed to the floor. Don't read the presentation. Memorize it. You can have bullet points on a card to keep you on track, but the presentation should be organic. Practice it by reading it, but then practice it with bullet points. I always miss a sentence here or there. No big deal. Don't backtrack. Just move forward. Get access to the room beforehand and do a dry run. Do your presentation to an empty room. I've left the front of the room, walked over to someone, and closed their laptop while continuing with my presentation. Give me the respect of your attention while I present. IF there is someone in the class who chooses to openly disrespect you during the presentation (laughing, joking, etc.) don't hesitate to act. The room belongs to you while you present. Shift your focus while you present. Talk to one person. Then to another. Talk to that one person for a moment. Then talk to another. You got this!
