Thanks. After I started getting to be able to get through several repetitions I thought, what next? I started learning about ventriloquism. Ventriloquists use similar sounding sounds to get around sounds where they have to open their mouth. If you listen very closely you can hear these substitutions. But at regular speech rate and just average attention it's almost unnoticeable. One of my biggest problem sounds was (still is) beginning H as in hospital and helicopter. I blocked and prolonged to the point of ridiculousness. Ventriloquists just dont use them. Try it. Barely noticeable. It's sad to say looking back that the shame, embarrassment, and fear that comes with being a child that can barely talk were probably my biggest motivators in life. I was determined to speak correctly.
