I feel like the real question is: Did you settle out of fear? I mean, I wouldn't think its uncommon for stutterers to have an inferiority complex and social anxiety which lead to bad social skills which are generally considered unattractive. So, my real question has always been did those stutterers really pick their significant others or simply settled? I will be honest here, I cringe when people (not ONLY stutterers) that have No social skills, stay at home 24/7, lack confidence etc say WE MET ONLINE and we are doing long distance or sth like that even if at the end they marry. Like I find this, excuse me for the phrase, pathetic and a losers gathering. I want to get out of my shell, accept anf work on my stutter, be social and get to meet and hopefully marry a person that I truly admire not someone I feel doesn't intimidate me. If that's the case, I'd rather stay single for the rest of my life.
