Yeah, i do it all the time. Like in saying my birth year, instead of seventy-three; i just say seven three. I stopped going by my birth name because i had too much of a hard time with the B sound. So i go by a different name. To me there's nothing wrong with it. The main thing at the end of the day is your fluency.
