I gotta disagree, if you got people around you like family and friends who genuinely want to hear what you have to say, your stutter becomes very minimal to them or they don’t care at all. To me whenever I hear my speech back it’s very jarring and and disfluent but my sister has said she barely notices it anymore, she’s become accustomed to it. The hardest part about getting to know new people is maybe explaining what the stutter is, but after that people are genuinely patient and understanding with your speech.
