Yeah I know that calls were obviously answered by humans but I’m sure there were people who thought “what’s this strange voice coming from the phone”. I wouldn’t say it’s an avoidance trick though. I think it’s a similar idea to imagine people being naked when performing on a stage. You’re not avoiding anything, you’re just changing your view to help push through the anxiety. I just wrote this to give people another option when making a phone call. I think I’ve been dealing with my stutter for too long to attempt therapy again. Once I start stuttering, my brain can’t process anything never mind trying to remember what I got taught during the session 😂
