I think you got the response you did because the premise of your question may be a little short-sighted. Yes, there are jobs that require more talking than others, but when you get down to it, all jobs [that you would want to have when you're 50] will require a lot of talking to others. You might be able to avoid it in a lower-paying entry-level position, but advancement is as much people-skills as it is raw competence. It might be convincing a boss that you're worth a promotion, or it might be running your own business and convinced customers (over the phone) that you're worth their money. It can also be dangerous, because for most stutterers I know, fluency is a perishable skill: speech gets harder (nor easier) without regular practice. I'm sorry I not able to give what you want here, but your attitude of "I can do anything" is a good one. Is there anything you like doing? :)
