I can relate w/ you. My name starts with a vowel and I usually struggle with vowels (the air doesn't come out sometimes). Like another person here commented, a workaround I found was appending my first name with something else, which for me was the name before my actual name (which started with a non-vowel) and it worked out for me. Similarly, words like 'it's' help too if you've a standalone first name. Eventually, this helped me muster up the courage and start saying my vowel-based name without much difficulty. If I did find myself stuttering, I would simply append something to it and say it. On an unrelated note; As for other words which I find difficulty saying, appending another word to the start usually helps it get out no matter how weird it might sound. For example, since i struggle w/ vowels, saying the word 'elephant' is super hard since my voice does not escape my throat, whereas it's super easy if i append 'the' at the start and say "the elephant". Hope you get over this difficulty :)
