I think that this is a great idea and glad to hear that you found a solution that works for you. I did something similar but slightly different before Zoom days when work from home was audio only. I wrote out my entire presentation complete with “uhhs” and “ahhs” so it sounded COMPLETELY natural when I read it. Was able to present to 200 people globally without stuttering at all. Like you, I think a lot of people were surprised/confused at how good I was. I want to stress that the key was to write out the script so that it sounded EXACTLY like spoken speech and not written text. I guess you could still do this on a Zoom call, too.
