in my adolescence it was a constant volley of laughs so I have grown resentful of anyone that reminds me of those times, irrespective of their intentions. I would much prefer someone to just shut their mouth and let me speak instead of interjecting with a meaningless laugh to ease the awkwardness. It’s like, you don’t laugh when you hear someone lisp for the first time, so why do it for anyone else? It’s just stupid. The people that laugh typically exhibit traits consistent with low intelligence.
