It's really commendable that you're worried about losing out on learning. Also I think it's a valid concern, since I've seen quite a few jobs advertised in Wales that state the applicant "must be fluent in English and Welsh". Why not check out Duolingo for Welsh? https://www.duolingo.com/course/cy/en/Learn-Welsh-Online It's a really great resource, and it means you can learn the basics of the language on your own at home. It's quite fun too.
