I think most if not all stutterers can relate with this. Much for the same reason that most can speak fluently when they’re completely alone. Becoming nervous and thinking critically about speaking before it happens and acknowledging the possibility of failing becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you think too much on it 9/10 times you will cause yourself disfluency because you’re inadvertently willing it to happen. Our brains are quite amazing.
